Casinacho Games
Casinacho Games is one of those apps that bundles a lot of small ideas under one roof. You open it to a cheerful menu and pick from a grid of short challenges — some are timing-based tap games, others are little matching or sorting puzzles that ask you to think a beat ahead. Each round is quick, which makes it the kind of thing you reach for in a queue or on a short train ride.
Controls are all touch and kept deliberately simple: tap, swipe, hold. The game does a good job of teaching each mini-game with a single demo screen rather than a wall of text, so you're playing within seconds. What surprised me was how cleanly it tracks your progress across the different modes — there's a satisfying sense of inching your personal bests up over a week of play.
It won't be the deepest thing on your phone, and some of the mini-games are stronger than others. But the presentation is friendly, it runs smoothly even on older hardware, and the variety keeps a single session from getting stale. For a casual pick-up-and-play app it does exactly what it sets out to do.
